This comic is especially for our Mom because she absolutely loves penguins, which actually works out well because it would've been much more difficult to write a rhinoceros or something into the strip!
Also, I'm not entirely sure that Lori can even draw a rhinoceros, but thankfully that's a bridge that can be crossed another day.
Anyways, so we're now officially into the month of March and this would normally be the part where I'd say something like, "We've got all sorts of new and exciting things planned for you in March - etc, etc..." but the truth of the matter is, we really don't! Sure, there are a couple of worthwhile ideas milling about in our collective minds, but nothing that's really got us ready to hit the grindstone and start churning out the brilliance, and hopefully this could be where you folks can come in...
We know that there seem to be more and more of you reading Ink, Paint & Tears... every week - either that, or there are a lot more drunk and confused people out there cruising the Information Superhighway these days than usual! But nonetheless, sticking with that assumption that our audience is getting bigger, maybe you can throw us a bone or two and give us some ideas of what you'd like to see next from us. Some t-shirts or something for our store so that you've got something to where while enjoying your Ink, Paint & Tears... 2006 Wall Calendar? Maybe some bonus artwork of sorts that you could use for desktop wallpaper on your computer? Or perhaps even a storyline set of strips or another zany theme run like Workplace Humor Month that we did last fall?
The possibilities are endless and we're really just in this relationship to make you - our readers - happy, so if there's something in particular that you think might be neat to see focused around a talking muffin, by all means let us know! Even if it's just an idea that you've already seen done on another comic strip that you think might be interesting when entertained by the cast of Ink, Paint & Tears... - your suggestions may very well be the next project that L7 Comix undertakes. Write us today and let us know what you think...
According to my calendar, next week's comic will be falling on Jousting the Bear, a historic event that takes place in Pistoia, Italy and likely involves hitting furry animals with long sticks, I would presume. If you happen to be from Pistoia, Italy, please don't be too disappointed if next week's comic fails to recognize this no doubt breathtaking occasion.
May your March be ever full of ants, always in formation...
