I never really got much into the theater when I was in school - pretty much the extent of "drama" in my life came from watching reruns of Saved By the Bell, but like most young boys, I think deep down, I always dreamed of being a master thespian of stage and screen, woo'ing all of the ladies with my Travolta-like presence that simply demanded, "Go to the dance with me because I have extraordinarily greasy hair." A couple of slight problems there - A) slicked back hair and glasses didn't really go together; and more importantly, B) I couldn't shake a leg to save my life! Oh, why did Dance Dance Revolution have to come about a generation too late?!

So you may or may not have noticed, but we passed our 50th Anniversary Strip last week with our 101 Irish Jokes series - we didn't really make a big deal out of it because we've already sort of got bigger plans for The Big 75, but nonetheless don't let that stop you from buying us a cake or something if you're feeling so inclined! It's kind of hard to believe that we've actually done that many strips already - we've been going strong and on schedule (for the most part) for a good six months now, and I think that's pretty promising when you look towards the future. Although I think we both would've liked to have the strip come out more than once a week, it would've been questionable whether or not we could be consistent with the schedule from week-to-week and so far being a weekly strip seems to be working out ok for us - each comic is a little better than the last, our audience is slowly but steadily growing, and we're still thoroughly enjoying the process...which although might sound a little selfish, is of the utmost importance for keeping our little good ship afloat here...

Sometimes I don't feel like I say it enough, but thanks for taking the time out of reading what Lori and I put together here for you each week. Sure, we're entertained by our own work, too, but there's a little something extra about knowing that other people out there are taking time out of their day to read our strip each week and most of them seem to be coming back week after week, let alone telling a few friends here and there, so we must be doing something right! Do feel free to drop us a line if you've got something that you'd like to share - whether it's a new joke that you'd like to see us write about in the future, some comments on an existing strip, or just a hearty atta'boy, we do read every single e-mail that we get and your words mean a lot to us.

Would you look at that ... not a dry eye in the house. Maybe my acting career isn't all lost after all! Now if only I had eighty pounds of hair gel handy...
