It's about freakin' time!!!
Yes, yes, unfortunately we were a little late in getting this week's comic up and I'll willingly admit that it was at least partially my fault. In working on my contribution to the strip Thursday night, Photoshop crashed on me at a pivotal point and I hadn't saved recently, so there was a lot of double work to be completed. But nonetheless, many of you may also be aware that we had some server issues last night anyways, so even if we had posted the comic as usual, there was a good chance that most wouldn't have been able to see it anyways...
But we're here now, trucking strong into December and the final days of 2005! It's been quite the ride and we can only wonder at this point what the new year will have in store for the Ink, Paint & Tears... gang as time keeps on slipping, slipping, slipping into the future. I can profess that even already we do have a few intriguing cards up our sleeve at this point, although I probably shouldn't say anything at this point because some might say that even already I've said too much!
So instead I thought I'd use this week's posting to help plug a venture that although isn't specifically our own, it's still nonetheless ever so worthwhile and being that we're officially into the season of giving, it would behoove you to keep it in mind as you're hashing out your holiday budget for friends, family and charity this year...
Created by the infamous gaming comic Penny Arcade, Child's Play has successfully raised nearly a million dollars worth of toys, video games and entertainment for Children's Hospitals around the globe. Through a partnership with Amazon.com, donations are made by simply choosing items from wishlists created for participating hospitals, which are then delivered in mass where they are eagerly awaited by thousands of children and their families who spend considerable amounts of time in these hospitals each year. Its really as easy as selecting an item or two from the list of your choice while placing your own order from Amazon.com this holiday season and your gift will certainly help brighten the day for those dealing with the unimaginable. For more information about this wonderful program and how you can contribute, including a nice, colorful map of this year's participating Children's Hospitals and how much has been raised thus far (nearly $200,000 at the time of this mailing!), click on the link above or point your browser towards www.childsplaycharity.org.
Child's Play is just one of many great charities that are asking for your help this holiday season and we sincerely encourage you to lend a hand wherever you happen to be able. 'Tis the season, folks! Until next week...
Happy Holidays!!!
