Greetings ... Salutations ... Happy Finally We're at the End of April!
Yes, it's true - this week we have another one of those very special late night editions of The Weekly Muffin that I promised were all said and done, but sometimes reality, she can be a harsh mistress, my friends! I hate to say it, but this was just one of those weeks when Lori was too busy to draw the comic until late, I was too busy to color and edit the comic until late, and with any luck, you've all been too busy to read the comic until late, making everything come full circle and all be right with the world.
Not quite? Well, better luck next week...
Now I know that last week I did put in writing that we'd be doing up something fun and special for Arbor Day (which happens to be today), but unfortunately, that proclamation was made prior to my realization that not only do we not have any talking trees in our ever-expanding cast, but even if we did, I can't say as if I'd be able to just write him into a hilarious strip on such short notice! So that said, I've got two options for you:
A) pretend that there's a bonzai tree of your favorite variety in Howard's office, just out of view of today's strip
B) after laughing relentlessly at today's deciduously-deficient strip, go watch some episodes of Space Tree - a personal favorite of mine where space and foliage are concerned - and get your fill for Arbor Day from the great beyond
And go plant a tree, too! Next week we'll come charging into May with a special themed strip (honest!) based on some current life events that hopefully you'll enjoy, not to mention a neat, little gift for all those who've been looking to decorate their MySpace profiles with something that isn't copyrighted material ... wink, wink... Enjoy.
