Welcome back to us!!!

As much as we would've liked to bring you a comic last week, the schedule simply wouldn't permit it so we decided to take a week off and just breathe for a change! Ok, so granted there isn't much breathing to be enjoyed when you're getting ready for a wedding, but you get the idea...

(click the photo for a gallery of even more wedding cake-y goodness!)

That's right, folks - Lori went and got herself hitched this past weekend, and just between you and me, it was great. You really should've been there, and not simply because it would've resulted in more gifts for the newlyweds! How cool would it have been for us to have not only Reserved for Parents of the Bride and Reserved for Parents of the Groom, but also Reserved for the Loyal Fans of L7 Comix?! There could've even been a few die hard IPT fanatics that went the extra mile by dressing up as Mark, Kellie, and even Steve! I wonder if Lori'd have been able to keep a straight face while saying her vows with a six-foot-tall grasshopper drinking in the back row...

The world will never know.

Of course, we did attempt to bring back the humor by returning with a classic strip that truly does embody the wedding spirit, or at least it does for anybody who's had to sit through enough of those long and arduously boring ceremonies that call on everybody and his brother to bless the couple in what ends up taking the majority of an otherwise perfectly beautiful afternoon that could be spent playing golf or tennis or, well, you get the picture! Fortunately for all those in attendance, Lori's wedding was short and sweet, leaving us all plenty of time to schmooze, socialize, and enjoy several pieces of the delicious wedding cake you see pictured above (hand-crafted by our wonderfully talented mother who deserved much more than a bow for not only said delicious cake, but also pretty much pulling together the entire day all by herself - again, way to go, Mom!).

So needless to say, it was a great day. Lori's now married to the swell guy you also see pictured above - his name is Ray, if you're curious - and would you believe that he's also a big fan of our strip?! I know, I know ... small world! Anyways, we'll be returning to our regularly scheduled weekly strip now, so no worries about whether or not you'll hear from us seven days from now. No big announcements at this time - other than the wedding, that is - but go figure, it's good to be back!

Exhaustingly Yours,
